Pat Jensen Jeffery    

     Pat’s literary credits include scripting several cable television programs. She has also worked as both producer and host. In addition to her novel SHOCK TRAUMA, Pat has written two full-length screenplays, a TV pilot and has just completed the scripts for three videos now in production. • 2005: currently at work on 3rd feature length screenplay

• 2004: screenplay ARCTIC CIRCLE was selected as one of four finalists for the 2004 Writers Guild of Canada’s ‘Jim Burt’ screenwriting competition

• 2003: wrote 2nd feature length screenplay ARCTIC CIRCLE, (when hunters begin disappearing from a remote arctic outpost, the town’s new nurse tries to help the RCMP with their investigation. But it is only while searching for her downed medevac plane that an RCMP officer uncovers the chilling truth behind a local mystery and a ghostly legend involving Albert Johnson…aka…The Mad Trapper of Rat River)

• 2000: wrote 1st feature length screenplay A DATE WITH DESTINY, (a fictionalized yet true to life account of Pierre Trudeau’s last term in office)

• 1997: published the novel SHOCK TRAUMA, (loosely based on Pat’s own career as a helicopter flight nurse. The story revolves around Angie, a talented yet burnt-out ICU nurse who joins a fledgling helicopter air ambulance program. When her paramedic boyfriend dies tragically, Angie is certain her entire world has died too. With the 1988 Calgary Olympics fast approaching, pilot Dale Morgan must drag Angie back to reality…and life. And as the Games are about to end, Angie and Dale are finally forced to admit to feelings they have always had for each other.

• 1984-2003: wrote six scripts for documentary videos



Kim Tetarenko     

     Kim is a mechanical engineer turned writer, guide, and photographer. Her first book, Ken Jones Mountain Man, was nominated for an award at the Banff Mountain Book Festival. She is currently working on a new series of kids' books called The Adventurers. She can be seen driving around in a 1972 Super Beetle with the kids in the book painted on one side, and a skeleton on the other. Barbara Smith   

     Barbara Smith is the author of 16 books, 13 of which are collections of true ghost stories. Ghost Stories of Alberta, Ghost Stories of California, Canadian Ghost Stories, Haunted Theaters are some of her titles in that series. She has taught writing-related courses at the University of Alberta, Grant MacEwan College as well as for private industry. Jacqueline Guest
