Contest Guidelines
Categories
For
both the regular contest and the Junior Writers
Contest, any fiction or non-fiction short story
is acceptable. However, we will not accept stories
that are not suitable for the general public such
as pornography.
Reading
Fees
Adults - $15.00
Junior Writers (for those under
18 years of age) - $5.00
(Reading fee is per entry
and in Canadian funds. If Canadian funds
are not easily available, we will accept U.S.
funds at par.)
Annual Deadline
All entries must be postmarked no later then May
31, 2006.
Rules
*
Length must not exceed 5,000 words.
* Manuscripts must be typed double-spaced
on 8 ½ x 11 paper, photocopies are acceptable.
* In the top right hand corner of the manuscript's
first page please include, Story title, Author's
name, address, phone number, word count, and e-mail
if desired.
* Number each page.
* Multiple entries are allowed but each entry
must include its own Entry Form
and Reading Fee.
* Only original, previously unpublished stories
will be accepted.
* All entries must include completed Entry Form
and Reading Fee. Make cheques or money orders
payable in Canadian funds to Tall Tales Press.
* For a winners list please include your e-mail
address or enclose a SASE with valid Canadian
postage or an international postage voucher (U.S.
stamps do not work in Canada).
