By submitting and signing this Entry Form and Agreement and paying a $5 (Junior Writers under 18) or $15 reading fee, and thereby participating in the "Hidden Talents Short Story Contest", I represent and warrant the following to Tall Tales Press and agree that:

     1. I am the author and creator of my submission entitled _________________________________ (the "Submission").

     2. I own all copyright and other legal rights to the Submission and there are no encumbrances or other charges held by another party over the Submission.

     3. I understand there is no guarantee or promise that the Submission will either win the contest or be published in a future publication, but that this may be a possibility. While I will continue to own the copyright and all other legal rights in the Submission, I understand and agree that Tall Tales Press has the first time publication rights of the Submission and may assign those rights.

     4. I understand that in the event the Submission is chosen for an award or published by Tall Tales Press or its assigns, or both, that I will receive that award and one free copy of the publication, and nothing more as compensation or consideration for the use of the Submission in the publication.

     5. I agree to indemnify Tall Tales Press for any damages, loss, or expenses including costs on a solicitor-client basis arising from any claim, demand, or lawsuit involving Tall Tales Press that results from my breach of this Agreement and any misrepresentation therein.

     6. I am 18 years or older, have read this document and understand its contents. If I am not 18 years or older, my parent or legal guardian has read this document and understood its contents. In either case, I have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before submitting this entry and the Submission and have chosen to participate.

     7. This Entry Form and Agreement are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
